Pacific Northwest Living Historians is a group dedicated to portraying historical characters of the Columbia-Pacific region and providing living history programs that engage visitors with an authentic and interactive experience.

We are finalizing the 2008 slate of training opportunities. Current plans include the return of an overnight Survivor! Camp of Instructions, Chautauqua training, and maritime courses. Please check back in March for new information.

SEA SHANTIES
Columbia River Maritime Museum in conjunction with Pacific Northwest Living Historians host a Sea Shanty sing the fourth Monday of each month at The Rogue Restaurant on Pier 39 in Astoria. Programs run from 7 to 9 PM

Special programs at Dismal Nitch, one of the newest units of the Lewis and Clark State and National Historical Parks.

50TH ANNIVERSARY OF FORT CLATSOP
Friday, Saturday and Sunday, May 30, 31 and April 1
The Fort Clatsop unit of the Lewis and Clark State and National Historical Park celebrates its 50th anniversary with special programs throughout the weekend.

CLARK’S CAMPSITE
Friday, Saturday and Sunday, July 18, 19 and 20th
A new overnight program on Waikiki Beach at Cape Disappointment the third weekend in July

THE SALTMAKERS RETURN
Friday - Sunday, August 15, 16 & 17
An annual 48-hour program on the beach in Seaside the third weekend in August where The Corps of Discovery makes salt and trades with visitors. [more]
